Allergen information
Allergens, plainly
If someone at your Townsville celebration has an allergy, here’s what you need to know before you order. Please tell me about every allergy or dietary need when you enquire.
Allergen statement
My kitchen handles wheat, milk, egg, soy, almond, hazelnut, peanut and sesame and other tree nuts [owner to confirm the list]. I can make cakes without some ingredients, but I cannot guarantee any cake is free from traces of allergens. Please tell me about every allergy or dietary need when you order. Full allergen information for each flavour is listed below and is available on request. Every cake comes with a “Contains:” card.
What each flavour contains
Allergen names follow the official Australian list. “Can be made without” means I leave that ingredient out of the recipe. Traces are still possible.

Non-edible decorations
Cakes may contain dowels, straws, wires, picks, toppers and fresh or silk flowers. Remove these before serving. Fresh flowers are decorative only.
Only edible-labelled glitter and dusts are used.
“Made without” is not “free from”
I never promise that a cake is free from any allergen, only that it was made without it. A cake made without wheat, for example, is still made in a kitchen that uses wheat flour every day. If an allergy is severe, please talk to me before ordering so you can decide whether my kitchen is right for you.
Pre-packed items
If I sell pre-packed treats (for example at a market), each will carry a full label: name, business name and address, ingredients with allergens in bold, a “Contains” line, a best-before date and storage instructions.
Official allergen names
Australian food labels use these names, and so do I: wheat, fish, crustacean, mollusc, egg, milk, lupin, peanut, soy, sesame, almond, Brazil nut, cashew, hazelnut, macadamia, pecan, pistachio, pine nut, walnut, barley, oats, rye, sulphites.
