Fairy Bread Dot Cups

In 2026 the “dot cake” went from one New York bakery to queues around the block, then to Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast. It’s soft cake and buttercream buried under a thick crunch of hundreds and thousands.

To an Aussie, that’s just fairy bread in cake form. So that’s what I’m calling it. The cups come lidded and fridge-friendly, which makes them about the most heat-proof party food there is.
